How to use the Snapchat Story Downloader

Open a snap
Tap a thumbnail. The player shows the date and time it was posted.
Press Save
The file downloads with a name like username-story-3.mp4.

Text, stickers and drawings are part of the image, the way the poster published them. Music added from Snapchat’s sound library is included in videos.
Downloading on iPhone
Safari sometimes opens a video instead of saving it. When that happens, tap the Share icon under the video and choose Save Video. Photos can be saved with a long press → Save to Photos.
Use downloads fairly
Stories belong to the people who posted them. Keeping a copy to watch later is one thing; re-uploading someone’s snaps or using them in ads needs their permission.

Can I download a whole story at once?
Not yet; each snap is saved separately. Most stories are under 20 snaps.
Does the owner know I downloaded their story?
No. Screenshot and save alerts only exist inside the Snapchat app.
Why did the story disappear?
Most public stories expire 24 hours after each snap is posted. Check the Highlights section for saved ones.
